Northside Hospital Signs Long-term Lease at Perimeter Summit

Seven Oaks Company today announces Northside Hospital has signed a 180,000-square-foot lease at 1001 Summit Boulevard in its Perimeter Summit office park. This announcement brings 1,100 jobs — about 400 new — to the City of Brookhaven and DeKalb County. Several other Northside office components will be consolidated in the new space, less than 2 miles from Northside Hospital. With this lease, Perimeter Summit will have added nearly 300,000 square feet of space for new tenants in a little more than one year.

“Not only is this an ideal location for our business team to gather, but a great work space where we can continue to grow,” said Doug MacDonald, vice president of planning for Northside Hospital. “We also like that we’re near great amenities within walking distance.”

The Northside space will be spread among 9 floors and will be the new home to a centralized administrative office component of Northside.

1001 Summit, a 21-story, 515,000-square-foot Class A office tower features conference facilities, fitness center, Perimeter’s only Class A office organic vegetable garden and café, among other amenities. The build-out of the space will commence this quarter and all employees are expected to move into the space by end of year. Of particular interest to Northside, was their ability to co-develop a 500 space parking deck adjacent to 1001 Summit to accommodate Northside’s growth at the property.

Perimeter Summit includes 1.8 million square feet of Class A office space, 325 residential condominium units, a full-service Hyatt Regency hotel, and is currently home to corporate tenants such as AutoTrader, Zurich, Verizon and IBM / Watson, which relocated a portion of its operations to 1001 Summit in 2017.

With the execution of the Northside lease, the recently completed 4004 Summit provides the last remaining large block vacancy at Perimeter Summit. At 359,000 square feet, 4004 Summit is the only block of newly constructed space available in the Perimeter market.
